REST IN POWER!

"See below for some very rare shots of Steve. It shows the laughter, fun and friendship we had on the road and in the studio. Even though at times he could be very moody, we still could rock out on the stage in the most spectacular way. He loved his time in Thor and he would often tell me that the trips to England, Sweden and Finland were amongst his very fondest memories. He knew every scene in the "I am Thor" movie and would recite various lines during every telephone conversation we had. Steve was truly one of the greatest guitar players to ever play Metal and Rock. One of the most sensational performances I have ever witnessed was in 1984 @ the Lyceum in London, England during a national TV concert. During the song " Rock The City" Steve went into the most incredible guitar solo performance that I have ever seen. I will miss being able to call him up and talk about the old days. He was special human being. As a guitar player he was a Super being. They broke the mold. There will never be another Steve Price. May the Gods be with you my fellow warrior, Let your Chariot Ride Safely to Valhalla! Only the Strong Forever!"

"Steve and I first met back in the 1990s and I joined him & THOR on tour in the 2K's. Steve was a HUGE fan of music...listening to it, and making it. His entire existence was ruled by guitar, and he often mention that he had "100 songs written" for the next THOR album. After he left THOR and the world of touring in the 1990s, he worked for Sam Ash for decades as part of his commitment to making music part of his life. The happiest I ever saw Steve was when he was onstage playing guitar, or being praised for it by fans. He was incredible on stage. The hardest I ever saw Steve laugh was when he watched the movie "I Am Thor" with me and his bandmates back in 2016 - he actually laughed so hard there were tears in his eyes! If I had the chance to say one last thing to Steve while he was still here, I would've said, "Thanks for your service to Rock & Roll, Steve!"
